Jeff Schuster is the owner and artist behind Art Esoteric. He is a Colorado native who has been doing art his whole life. Jeff practices many different mediums and styles, using paint, wood, metal, and photography.

Jeff started Art Esoteric as a side hobby in 2010, a way to escape the stress of his profession and feed his soul. Today, Art Esoteric is a full time job. Jeff has created art for people all over the US. He also runs a studio out of his home in Grand Junction, Co.

In his spare time Jeff enjoys Traveling, Golf, Fishing, experiencing all things new to him, enjoying other artists great work, and soaking up all that Colorado has to offer.

Paint Brush Holder

Jeffery created his own paint brush holder out of a slab of Russian Olive tree cut for him by the Western Colorado Conservation Corp.

CO Saw Blade

Jeffery has created multiple CO Saw Blades over the years but each is unique and original in its own way. This particular piece was painted using oil paint.

Steampunk Hot Air Ballon

Steampunk is a mixed media style of art and one of Jeffery’s favorites. He usually starts with a simple image. He will than secure antique and re-used or re-perposed items over the top.

Murder of Crows

Each of Jeffery’s pieces tell a story. From where the materials come from, the creation itself, music he listened to while creating it, or even the company he kept while creating. This specific piece was made from Barn Wood out of Woodland Park, CO. Jeffery painted a mountain scene with crows using acrylic paint.

Cedar Table Base

This piece of cedar was cut from the front yard of a very good friend of Jeff’s.

CO Mountain Pallet

Creating with pallet wood is a favorite of Jeff’s. On this particular piece he used acrylic paint and stain after routing out the C.

Wise Old Crow

Mid process, Jeffery snapped this photo of a Steampunk Crow coming to life. The crow was painted on old barn wood and than overlaid with antique and re-used parts.

Burl with Turquoise Inlay

Custom ordered from the other side of the US, Jeffery created this abstract wall hanging piece using Burl Wood and inlaid turquoise.

Works on Pallet Wood

Jeffery, seen here is working on another pallet piece. After securing the wood together and sanding it down, he begins to router out an image on the wood.

Thin Blue Line

Jeffery has a passion and a heavy heard for law enforcement as its deep rooted in his family. Jeff has created many of the Thin Blue Line pieces for his friends and family in law enforcement.

In Grand Junction Colorado on the first Friday of each month there is a First Friday Art Walk where many artists and gallery’s put their art on display. You can find Jeffery downtown on Main St. on the first of every month.

Looking Deep

Inspired by some of Jackson Pollock’s work Jeffery created this large abstract painting. After stretching the canvas himself he painted it using acrylic paint, spray paint, latex paint, tempura paint, ink, and oil paint.

Art and creating new pieces are at the core of who Jeffery Schuster is. In 2018 Jeff embraced the title “Professional Artist” for the first time in his life, and dedicated his energy to his passion.
